Chef Ida is from Columbia, South Carolina. She started cooking in the kitchen with her mother at the age of 6. Her mother, Betty, would place her on a stool to reach the counter and teach her all the secrets of a Southern home cooked meal. Her passion for cooking has since grown into a personal chef service. Chef Ida, along with her husband Andre, were the former owners of Ida’s Cruise Ship Style Catering.
She has worked as a Professional Chef for 22 years. She obtained her degree in Culinary Arts and trained under French, Chinese, Cajun, Greek, Italian and Fine Dining Chefs. She’s worked with Sodexho Management for 9 years managing the Food and Nutrition Department of 4 major hospitals and the 92 schools of Atlanta Public School System. Chef Ida was also an instructor at the Young Chefs Academy.
She is a member of the American Personal Chef Association, American Culinary Federation, American Dietary Association and the National Restaurant Association. Contact her today
